Culture Dome Dancehall Top 40 chart is abuzz with activities on all levels. This week sees a new #1 from Shenseea, and a total of eight new songs break and entering the chart.
Shenseea's 'Bad Alone' jumps two places to the top of the chart, replacing her single 'Rebel' which falls four places to #5. 'Bad Alone' is the songstress third #1 song on the chart. Another of her former #1 songs, 'Lighter' -- a Tarrus Riley collab -- holds the #18 position, slipping 5 places from last week's #13 position.
Intence's 'New Year' debuts in the #2 position marking his highest positioning on the chart. His single 'Friday' falls to #35 in its sixth week on the chart.
'Nah Fi Like' by Alkaline moves up one place into the #3 position. Alkaline also holds three other positions on the chart with 'Real Dawgs' at #11, 'Deh Suh' debuting at #16, and 'Incognito' (with Stalk Ashley) at the #19 position.
Another of the debutants is Popcaan's 'Relevant', which sits in the #4 position on the chart this week.
Three former number 1s in 'I Wish', 'HAMANTS Convo Pt 3', and 'Money We Love' hold the #6, #7, and #8 positions, respectively. 'I Wish' falls four places from #2, 'HAMANTS Convo Pt 3' falls two places from #5, and 'Money We Love' falls one place from #7.
Govana's other top 10 position comes from 'Gyallis Class' which falls three rungs into the #9 spot on the chart this week.
Ding Dong's 'Stray' continues its stellar chart performance, holding the #10 position with a consecutive 14 week run on the chart.
Rounding off the list of debuts are Tommy Lee Sparta's 'Ghetto Cry' at #12, Squash's 'Surgery' at #20, Shaneil Muir's 'Pain' at #24, I Octane's 'Next' at #25, and 'Living The Dream' -- a Usain Bolt and NJ collab -- at #27.
