Apart from listening to his own music, Vybz Kartel adds Koffee’s new track “Lockdown” to his playlist. The newly launched tune talks about a trip post-quarantine wherein the opportunities are endless. While we've all been experiencing the “lockdown” life for a few months, Vybz Kartel has been incarcerated for nearly ten years.
The world boss co-signed Koffee’s new hit track on social media and admitted that he's a fan of Koffee. The deejay took to his Instagram stories over the weekend where he quoted some of the lyrics to the song “Mummy mi go NASCAR pull up inna fas’ car” before adding, “Koffee star! What a likkle gal bad!!! Lockdown a me song. Koffee I’m feeling you.”
Vybz Kartel doesn't give his stamp of approval to many people whether publicly or privately. Now with the dancehall magnate advocating for the biggest young sensation that Jamaica has seen in years, fans are eager to know what's coming next. With Koffee on her new reggae game and Vybz Kartel still prevailing in the dancehall world, a song by Koffee and Vybz Kartel would be the ultimate collaboration, however, timing is everything.
Whether the two will collectively join together on a song remains unknown, however, there's no denying that their music is compatible. Both artists have set themselves apart from their competition with several hits and numerous appearances on various Billboard charts. Vybz Kartel is presently gunning for a Grammy next year, an accolade that Koffee earned along with the bragging rights for the youngest and first woman to win in her category. Meanwhile, Vybz Kartel had one of his songs certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, that's something any artist, such as Koffee, would aspire to do.
